+ Is Dr. Ayeni board certified?

Yes, she is. Dr. Ayeni is a board certified plastic surgeon. She completed a five year surgical residency after four years of medical school, and then did an extra year of fellowship training in Plastic Surgery at Harvard. She has been working in Newmarket for 3 years.

+ Are there any before and after pictures?

Due to the sensitive nature of many of our signature procedures, many of our patients prefer not to have their photos posted on the internet. When you come in for an in-person consultation, Dr. Ayeni can show you before and after photographs from patients that have given consent.

+ Will my surgery be covered by OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan)?

Most cosmetic procedures are elective and are not covered by OHIP. However, in some cases, when there is a medical need for a surgery, OHIP may cover or partly cover the costs. The following procedures are covered or partly covered by OHIP: Breast Reconstruction Breast Reduction Breast Implant Removal Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction) Panniculectomy Revision Surgery (of another surgeon’s work).

+ Where does Dr. Ayeni perform surgery?

Dr. Ayeni operates out of Southlake Regional Health Centre. You can be assured that you will be taken care of by a qualified team of anesthetists and nurses that are well trained to keep you safe and comfortable.

+ How do I make an appointment?

Have your family physician send a referral to: 905-853-1898. You can also call 905-853-6644.

+ How do I pay for surgery?

There are financing options if you are not able to pay for surgery right away.

+ How long is the waiting list?

This depends on the type of surgery. Dr. Ayeni gives preference to patients with a cancer diagnosis.

+ Does Dr. Ayeni offer virtual consultations?

Yes, virtual consultations can be scheduled by contacting the office by email or phone.
